In this episode, we will be discussing a high jump drill called the circle run.
This drill helps the athlete keep their shoulders away from the bar and their body in the correct position during the takeoff of the high jump. Notice how the athlete’s inside shoulder leans in toward the center of the circle he runs. Also, notice how the athlete's shoulders are still away from the bar when he jumps.
This drill helps athletes take off correctly during a normal approach, allowing them to reach higher heights.
